I moved from Indiana to Ohio in 2011 and was very impressed by the equine industry in Ohio! After spending most of my life barrel racing and mounted shooting with some dabbling in pleasure, horsemanship, and showmanship, I found myself looking for other things to try. There were two horse endeavors I hadn’t seen before: gymkhana and drill team! Of course I spent the first couple years in Ohio doing just these things! In late 2011 I joined the Renegades and went to compete with them at the NKHN drill competition in Kentucky in 2012. Shortly after I left drill for a while to compete all over the state in gymkhana along with spending many weekends camping at as many state parks as possible! Ohio really has a great trail riding network as well! I loved the teamwork, the challenge, and the friendship in drill. This is what brought me back at the end of 2016. My favorite performance is Kentucky Horse Park. I love the atmosphere, the crowd, and just being in Lexington. We always have a great time! My favorite parade is the Delaware All Horse Parade. I enjoy the huge amount of horses present of all types. It is truly a sight to behold!
